Voices at the Table

In some traditional family or formal settings,
women were often excluded from “the table”.
They were not allowed to sit at the head of the table,
join the discussion, or speak for themselves.

This work invites women and female-identifying artists to express what they most want to say — through drawing writing, or speaking — on sets of glass tableware placed around a round table.

It is a symbolic act of taking a seat
and a shared effort to make voices seen and heard.
